Here is my kinda crappy timelapse:
EDIT: Okay, got it, thanks. I used your code. So yeah, that's my timelapse from my camera set up on my cat carrier and pointed out the window. It shakes a bit because I had to move some stuff around a couple of times.

I put it in A/V at F4.5. I manually focused at the beginning and then left it from there. Obviously, the glass on my window was pretty dirty! I was more interested in making sure that I knew the process and that my cats didn't knock the camera off.

they say the "holy grail" of timelapse is to accurately transition from light to dark. definitely seems hard to do.
what was your interval? and how many photos? |

Originally it was 30 seconds, then switched to 20 seconds about halfway through - a total of about 430 pictures.

I'd love to get into doing more timelapse stuff. One of those rigs would be awesome to have. I've also used a few different programs to build mine including Quicktime, window movie maker, and Lightroom.
![]() I've found it easiest to build the video using quicktime and then use window movie maker for adding the music. I also found a program called LR Timelapse that will add some panning motion to your video by cropping in on the still images. So it's a fake panning. LRTimelapse - advanced Time Lapse Photography made easy! Here's a couple videos I've done before. |

Here's a time-lapse that got featured on Chicagoist today, from the South Shore Cultural Center all the way to Hollywood Avenue—that's 8,273 photos over 18 miles, using http://gopro.com/.
Not mine. Just posting to kind of inspire you guys maybe... |

is it not? I sized it to 1024x768, which was "HD 1"

I don't know, it might have been the site - there was a bit of compression in the video that I can tell is probably not part of the original pictures.

I also shot in P mode.
here's what I don't get. everything I read says to shoot in Manual mode to avoid "flickering" (which you can clearly see in mine). but how the hell do you shoot a time lapse in M mode during a sunset? are you suppose to meter the scene for every shot? thats just not possible. this 1.26 min video was 500 photos, give or take. |

This is my fake "timelapse" sort of video I made as a save-the-date for our wedding. It was my first attempt at doing something like this. I remote triggered every shot with a 2 sec delay.
