Is anyone local (I'm in the south burbs) available to help with an all day gig this saturday 9/10? It's a paid gig based on exp.
Canon or Nikon is fine, if interested PM me a link to some work and your tele#. For reference my site is: Chicago Wedding Photographer, Senior Portraits, Chicagoland Illinois, Troy Carter Photography |

ha, I love that you said "canon or nikon is fine". is there ever a circumstance where only canon's are allowed?
![]() and like the others said, some details on "the gig" would be very helpful. thank you for the offer. |

There are a lot of people who nitpick and say "Nikon only" or "Canon only". I guess they think gear isn't compatible or something.

I see it all the time in ads for second shooters, from a lot of places. People say "I need a second shooter, must have Nikon..." or stupid crap like that. Funny thing though is it's always someone asking for a Nikon shooter, I don't know why
I guess technically if you're looking for a helper and you shoot Nikon, all your triggers and stuff are Nikon-based, so you couldn't have a Canon user be compatible. Same with if you shot Canon. |

Yes, it's a wedding. Weddings as seconds are easy IMO because you don't have to lead anything, just fall in line and shoot but that's how I see it, opinions vary.
Hours are a bit flexible depending on what the second can do. Many people want the experience and samples shots and gladly work literally all day with prep shots at the beginning and stay till the very end. In this case, the ceremony starts at 3 and the reception runs until about 11 which is roughly the time I really need covered. Canon, Nikon, Minolta, Pentax, whatever. If what you have doesn't work for what we need you can use some of my gear. Actually, I use canon gear with primarily old nikon flashes and if the world was perfect I'd still be shooting Minolta. I have no brand loyalty and don't care what you shoot. |
