Default Let's get the ball rolling...

So, let's christen this new forum with a little image processing. Here's an image you guys can work on, have fun, go nuts, do what you want. If you want to be funny, be funny. If you want to be serious, then you have to tell me what you do.

Otherwise, let the festivities begin. Click the image for full-size version...

Default He Looked Lonely

1. Selected the sky separate from the bird, to add more blue using curves.
2. Selected the bird and branch to lighten and brighten with levels.
3. Select the bird and copy selection
4. Paste selection on new layer.
5. Edit, transform and scale to large the bird.
6. Put bird on branch and so clean up are him.
7. Duplicate the big bird layer, and move to the other side of the small bird and align.
8. Crop to 16 x 9
9. Merge all layers.

uh, okay, yeah, what he said.

Well, it's creative, I'll give you that. Can't say I like the merge all that much, looks very processed. I would have used the tablet to grab the bird, and then just resize the image to 50%. Paste the bird and there you go.

Nice edit, but maybe you shouldn't have made the bigger birds so big. They dwarf the poor little guy.

What's the "tablet"? Never heard of that before.

Nice, looks like you played with the depth of field a bit.

kinda... I increased "structure" in Silver EFEX a tad. and that part looks different than the original because I chose the reds as the basis for the conversion.

Sorry, I tuned out on this one, my brain is filled with too many things, mainly all of these new edits to play with. I think it looks good, but try to smooth out the halo from sharpening. Color looks great, bird looks great, but I can see the halo, makes it look processed.

But, that's no fault of yours, that's just the kind of crap that happens during processing. I'll bet if it were a RAW, that wouldn't happen.

Still, colors are nice, bird looks great. Looks about what I got with some of the shots I processed for myself. Except no halo that I could see. Not that I remember anyway, now I have to go and check.
